As long as we’re still importing third world immigrants, with particular favoritism toward Muslims ones, could we please get some more Ethiopians in? That way this country will have at least someone willing to fight back against jihad. I’ll take some more Sikhs too. They may not love the Jews, but they really don’t love Muslims. But my main focus here is Ethiopians. Let us for a moment recall Sweet December, 2006:
ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) Ethiopian prime minister says his country is at war with Islamists in Somalia.
MOGADISHU, Somalia (AP) Witnesses say eight Ethiopian fighter jets are attacking a Somali town held by an Islamic militia.
Islamists Defeated in Somali, but Regional Concerns Remain
NAIROBI, KENYA — …The [Somali] administration, known as the transitional federal government (TFG), has been unable to locate in Mogadishu before now, but the withdrawal of Islamists from the capital under fire from Ethiopian forces means it may now finally be able to do so.
The Islamists’ six-month rule was brought to an end when neighboring Ethiopia, claiming threats to its own national security and with tacit U.S. support, sent in troops to support the embattled TFG and rout the Islamists.
Ethiopia is considered a “Christian” country, although Muslims comprise almost half of the population.
In Nairobi’s Eastleigh Estate, which hosts about a half a million Somalis, the mood was gloomy after the retreat by Islamists…Since the Islamists took control of Mogadishu and other parts of southern Somalia last June, they have mounted a public incitement campaign against Ethiopia and declared a jihad against Addis Ababa last month…
Then came the naysayers:
Somalia could be Ethiopia’s quagmire
NAIROBI, KENYA — … “I don’t understand what Ethiopia’s objective is,” said David Shinn, a former U.S. ambassador to Ethiopia and now a political science professor at George Washington University. “I can’t imagine their objective is to occupy and hold Somalia. It was a very limited victory.”
Most experts agree that Ethiopia’s battle-tested army, numbering as many as 150,000 troops, could easily beat Somalia’s ragtag Islamic fighters, which are believed to total under 10,000. But Islamists say they would compensate for their lack of numbers and sophisticated weaponry by pursuing an unconventional war….
“The Ethiopians could get bogged down into a hopeless, long-term guerrilla campaign with enormous supply lines,” Shinn said. “I don’t see how they ‘defeat’ the Islamists in the long run.”
Ethiopian officials said they acted to preempt threats by Islamic forces to launch a “holy war” against them.
Angry youths rioted in several Somali cities, urging all adult males to join the Islamic forces. The Ethiopian attacks appeared to be bolstering support for the Islamists.
“I used to think that the Islamic courts were just another interest group, but now I recognize that they are standing up for the country and religion,” said Muse Ali Omar, a banana vendor in Mogadishu. “Ethiopia is my enemy, I will not sell bananas anymore,” he said. “I will take my gun and go for jihad…”
Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed, a moderate Muslim, said, “As long as the West is supporting Ethiopian invasion, it will open the door for Islamic courts.”
The Ethiopian strikes have helped unify the Islamic Courts Union, an alliance of religious leaders…[O]ne Islamist leader issued an invitation to Muslims worldwide to join the fighting in Somalia. Eritrea is also believed to have dispatched as many as 2,000 troops to aid the Islamists.
(Definition of “moderate Muslim”: an Islamist who is “peaceful” until something hinders the spreading of Islam, at which point he or she blames that hindrance for the spread of Islamism and vows to join the jihad. Liberals’ definition of “quagmire”: a military response to the spread, by force, of totalitarian ideology.)
Meanwhile, recall the name Zewdalem Kebede. That is the San Diego State University student who a few weeks after 9/11 confronted four Arab students in the school library as they laughed about and praised the attacks on America — and was reprimanded for it by the university. Sure enough, Kebede is Ethiopian.
I love Ethiopian resolve. How does it make us look? They’re doing what the Western world won’t, and on empty stomachs. Which answers something I’ve always wondered about Ethiopians: How do people in that starving country manage to make all the babies they do if they haven’t eaten? (Personally, I can’t have sex unless I’ve eaten, and even then…) Where do they find the strength?
Now we know: they’ve got more balls.

Well well well. For perhaps the first time in history, the mainstream media have deemed the dismemberment of Serbs newsworthy. More accurately, they have deemed newsworthy the dismemberment of the Serb and non-Serb victims of our friends, and almost all living Albanians’ great heroes, the KLA. (Recall the crowds cheering “KLA! KLA! KLA!” last month from Tirana to Pristina to Times Square. Below is just a taste of one of the many KLA activities they were cheering.) The new information is revealed in the forthcoming book The Hunt by Carla Del Ponte, former chief prosecutor for the Hague Tribunal. A few reports, starting with — gasp — the AP (which both the International Herald Tribune and Fox News deigned to carry):
Albanian trafficking in organs of killed Kosovo Serbs investigated
Serbia’s war crimes prosecutor is looking into reports that dozens of Serbs captured by rebels during the war in Kosovo were killed so their organs could be trafficked, the prosecutor’s office said Friday.
The Serbian prosecutor’s office said it received “informal statements” from investigators at the U.N. tribunal in The Hague, Netherlands, that dozens of Serbs imprisoned by Kosovo Albanian rebels were taken to neighboring Albania in 1999 and killed so their organs could be harvested and sold to international traffickers.
Bruno Vekaric, the Serbian prosecutor’s spokesman, said later on B92 radio that Serbian war crimes investigators have also received their own information about alleged organ trafficking, but not enough for a court case. Vekaric said Serb investigators also received reports suggesting there might be mass graves in Albania containing the bodies of the Serb victims.
Serbian media reported that the issue was brought into the open in a book written by former U.N. war crimes prosecutor Carla Del Ponte that is to be published in Italy on April 3.
According to Serbia’s Beta news agency, which carried parts of the book in Serbian, Del Ponte said her investigators had been informed that some 300 Serbs were killed for organ trafficking.
The Beta report quoted Del Ponte as saying in the book that her investigators were told the imprisoned Serbs were first taken to prison camps in northern Albania where the younger ones were picked out, and their organs were later sold abroad.
Beta reported that Del Ponte says in her book that tribunal investigators looking into alleged war crimes by the rebel Kosovo Liberation Army were not able to complete a case on the organ trafficking claims and bring it to trial…
The Beta report:
The Hague Prosecution learned while investigating war crimes committed by the Kosovo Liberation Army against Serbs and other ethnic communities that people that disappeared in 1999 in Kosovo were subjected to surgery in which their kidneys and other organs were taken from them and then the smugglers were selling them to foreign clinics, Carla Del Ponte, former chief prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal wrote in her book ‘Hunt’.
‘The victims were most likely abducted after [the] NATO bombing when international peace-keeping forces were already deployed in Kosovo’. Even high KLA members were involved in the operation of smuggling of organs, Del Ponte writes but [does] not specify their names.
She further writes that a group of ‘reliable’ journalists told the investigators and UNMIK officials that in [the]summer of 1999 Kosovo Albanians transported by trucks about 300 abducted non-Albanians in camps in Kukes and Tropoja in the north of Albania. Younger and healthy prisoners were medically examined and detained in Burel and in the neighborhood.
In one room that was used as an operating theatre, the surgeons were taking organs from the victims. Via Rinas airport near Tirana the organs were transported to clinics abroad for clients that paid for them. One source claimed to have personally participated in one of such deliveries at the airport.
The victims left with one kidney were kept locked and later on killed for other organs.
‘Other prisoners in the barrack knew what was to happen to them’, Del Ponte wrote. Among female prisoners there were women from Kosovo, Albania, Russia and former Yugoslav republics. Two sources claimed to have been helping in the burial of victims at a nearby cemetery…
Byzantine Sacred Art blog has more: A Glimpse at the Harrowing Truth: What happened to Kosovo Serbs Kidnapped by KLA?
The Real Women in Black: Serbian women seek the truth about their children, brothers, sisters and husbands missing in Kosovo province
Over 1,300 Kosovo Serbs, in addition to those…whom we know have been killed and whose remains were handed over to their families by the UNMIK during the past 8 years, are still listed as missing. In some cases the entire families were kidnapped by the KLA/UCK at some point during the 1998-1999 war and after UN/NATO took over the administration and security of the southern Serbian province…
Over the years, we have learned that a number of kidnapped Kosovo Serb girls and women have been used as sex slaves, kept under the lock and key in the dark, moldy cellars of Albanian bar and brothel owners, underfed, repeatedly raped and beaten, until they are deemed no longer useful and killed like dogs.
There were also reports in the Serbian media about Kosovo Serb boys and men being forced to work in unsecured, illegal private mines, but with uncooperative UNMIK and indifferent KFOR (NATO) no investigation was ever initiated, and Serbian families of the Kosovo-Metohia missing are still without answers.
Now, however, the much discussed Carla del Ponte’s book “The Hunt” offers a harrowing detail, revealing why Serbian men [have] been kidnapped throughout Kosovo province during past years instead of being killed on the spot, as is the usual KLA treatment for all non-Albanians, especially those of Serbian ethnicity: because they were used as a livestock for organ harvesting in the illegal trade with human organ transplants.
According to Glas Javnosti, writing about one of the failed investigations regarding the fate of around 300 abducted Kosovo Serbs who were taken to northern Albania, Del Ponte says that the kidnapped young men were not beaten and were well fed. There was an improvised surgery room in one of the houses, where young Serbs had their internal organs removed to be shipped over the Tirana airport “Mother Teresa” abroad, where the organs of the healthy young Serbs were sold.
The victims who had only one kidney removed during the first carve-up were sutured and returned to imprisonment, to live until they would get killed for their other vital organs, when the right buyer is found. According to Carla del Ponte, the Serbs held in this monstrous human stable Josef Mengele would envy, begged to be killed.
Sworn Serbian enemy, Del Ponte describes Kosovo-Metohia province under the KLA/NATO rule as a land with no laws and institutions, [a] land of blood feuds, ruled by the thugs who present themselves as heroes of the “suffering Albanian people”. She claims that UNMIK and KFOR officials, and even some ICTY judges in the Hague, are fearful for their lives if connected to the KLA/UCK crime investigations, and feel threatened by the “Albanian reach”.
In her book, Del Ponte says that those few and far between investigations of the terrorist KLA were the hardest during her appointment as the ICTY chief prosecutor, that her researchers were confronted by the clans, vendettas and political pressures, and that “policemen from Bern and Brussels and all the way to Bronx” are well aware about the insurmountable difficulties when it comes to the attempts to investigate Albanian organized crime.
Del Ponte traveled in 2003 to the alleged sites of the crime:
…“We are checking some informal statements we obtained through operative work that, in 1999, two trucks carrying imprisoned Kosovo Serbs were sent to Albania,” said War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukčević.
He said that the informal information had been obtained from Hague Tribunal investigators. According to those sources, there are unregistered mass graves with bodies of murdered Serbs in Albania.
One group was held in barracks behind a yellow house some twenty kilometers to the south of that town [Burel, Albania], states the former prosecutor.
One room in that yellow house, according to the journalists, served as an operation room where doctors extracted prisoners’ organs.
Daily Večerenje Novosti brings more details from the book, which says that the Hague and UNMIK investigators, and several journalist, along with an Albanian prosecutor, made a trip to the yellow house in 2003.
“It was now white,” Del Ponte writes. “Despite the fact that investigators discovered traces of yellow paint on it, the owner denied it was ever repainted.”
In its vicinity, investigators also found pieces of gauze, used syringes, two plastic IV solution bags, “petrified in mud”, empty medicine bottles, including muscle relaxants used during surgeries. [Thank god for Greater Albania’s waste-disposal problems!]
Inside the house itself, forensics discovered traces of blood on the walls and on the floor in one of the rooms. A section of the floor, sized 180 by 60 centimeters, was clean.
“The owner of the house offered a series of explanations to the investigators when it came to the origin of the blood traces. First, he said that his wife gave birth in that room many years ago. But when the wife made her statement and said that all their children were born elsewhere, he claimed that his family used the room to slaughter animals in order to celebrate a Muslim holiday,” Del Ponte writes.
As for the Albanian prosecutor who accompanied them, the former chief Hague prosecutor says he at one point bragged he had cousins who were KLA members.
“There are no graves of Serbs here,” the Albanian official said. “But, if they took the Serbs from the Kosovo border and killed them, they did the right thing”.
…Del Ponte writes that detectives had had to give up on this case because further investigation had proved “impossible”.
Related: Kosovo PM admitted atrocities, prosecutor
UN personnel feared for their lives in Kosovo while some of the judges presiding over the Hague Tribunal for former Yugoslavia were in fear from Kosovo Albanians that have committed atrocities against Serbs and that is why very few cases of Kosovo Albanian war criminals have been prosecuted, writes Carla Del Ponte, former Chief Prosecutor of the UN Tribunal, in her new book.
“I am sure that some of the top UNMIK and even KFOR officials feared for their lives and the lives of their missions’ members,” says Del Ponte…”I think that some of the judges of the Tribunal for Yugoslavia were afraid that the Albanians might come and get them,” writes Del Ponte.
In her book, Del Ponte details her meeting with the current so-called Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, at the 5th Anniversary of the Dayton Peace Treaty that ended the Bosnian conflict and says that, while sitting at a table, Thaci admitted to her that Kosovo Albanians committed atrocities.
“I looked him in the eyes and told him that I have launched the investigation over crimes that the Albanians had committed in Kosovo. I have not said a word implying indictment against him, but Thaci certainly concluded that I had done so since his face turned into stone,” Del Ponte writes.
Del Ponte also notes in her book Hashim Thaci and Agim Ceku are considered by UNMIK and KFOR as “more than dangerous in the peaceful efforts in the Balkans”.
“Thaci and Ceku, in theory can stir up the minority Albanian rebels, to start violence in Macedonia, South Serbia and other regions,” writes Del Ponte in her book reports news agency BETA…
If one were to follow any of the proceedings at the Hague court, he or she would be amazed to see just how nicely the Serb-hanging intent of that tribunal backfired. (While still hanging a few Serbs, guilty or not.) Del Ponte’s revelations are only the tip of the iceberg.
When we carved up Yugoslavia (though I could use the present tense), we also carved up actual people. Way to go, America. As we continue to enable brutality against the people who were the second-most brutalized party during WWII*, I say to my fellow Americans: Enjoy your new Albanian friends. You’ve earned them. But not to worry: As long as we keep feeding them Serbs, American organs should be safe. However, whether we keep our new masters — I mean, friends — happy or not, their plan is indeed to move on with the Greater Albania project which, as Ms. Del Ponte said, includes western Macedonia, southern Serbia, but also Montenegro and parts of Greece. So what happens when America and the international community call it quits on that project? Will we finally figure out that spilled Serbian blood is followed by the spilled blood of the rest of Western civilization?
*The reason that the Croatians didn’t kill as many Serbs and Jews in the Jasenovac camps as the Germans killed Jews and others in the German-run camps, is that rather than gassing or gunning down the Serbs, Croatians were savoring each kill by hand. From The Jerusalem Post, International Edition, week ending December 21, 1991:
“Goebbels lives — in Zagreb”
While not using the sophisticated extermination methods of the Germans, the Ustashi, the Croat Fascists, greatly outdid the Germans in their cruelty. Most of the killings were done with cold steel; if there was enough time, the Ustashi would also dismember their victims using handsaws.
Above: More Serbs wondering about the fates of their family members. Note: In the wake of Kosovo’s declared independence, the three-finger sign of the raised Holy Trinity seen here was referred to by at least one reporter (Catherine Philp of the London Times) as the Serbs giving a “Nazi salute”: “There, as in Mitrovica, they chanted ‘Serbia forever’ as they raised their hands in a Nazi salute.”
The Trinitarian affirmation is Christian, not Nazi (though journalists often don’t see a difference between those two either). Swiss guards at the Vatican hold their hands the same way when they take their oath of service.
Aside from Nazi references, other requisite terms for describing Serbs, currently being recycled, include projections such as Serbian “extremists” and “nationalists” — with no mention of the Albanians’ hyper-nationalist nature, their Nazi history or extremist ties. It all adds up to a newly paved road for the next round of Kosovo-Serb organ harvesting. The shots have already been fired.

Still miss the Clinton era? Vote for Knut the Bear! He could bring back the Clinton era more than any candidate currently running:
Knut the polar bear is a ‘publicity-addicted psycho’, says keeper
Knut the polar bear has turned from a cuddly cub into a publicity-addicted psycho, one of his keepers claimed yesterday. Markus Roebke said Berlin Zoo’s celebrity animal was obsessed with the limelight and howled with rage when denied an audience.
“He is addicted to the whole show, the human adulation. It is not healthy. He actually cries out or whimpers if he sees that there is not a spectator outside his enclosure ready to ooh and aah at him. When the zoo had to shut because of black ice everywhere he howled until staff members stood before him and calmed him down.”
Now Knut is bigger, the crowds are larger — and, his keeper warns, his mental health is deteriorating.
[Clinton] needs to be the center of attention. Because when he is, he feels like he has a center. That’s what the people on the rope line are there for: to fill him up. Left to himself — left with himself — he is bored, anxious; he needs a hit of adulation or he will float away. (Clinton’s aides dread drawing presidential vacation duty; Clinton can’t stand being away from the limelight.)…He cannot live a genuinely private life. Neither can she. So they must be in ours.
– Peggy Noonan, The Case Against Hillary Clinton, 2000
Think Hillary in Bosnia was Fun? Check her out in Kosovo
[A]n amazing scene I witnessed one night in the autumn of 1999 while watching CNN. The Clintons were in Kosovo…sitting and chatting with a refugee child. Television cameras were burring away, but then a print cameraman leaned down with his Nikon. Bill Clinton noticed him — I saw it. And at that point he moved his head close to the first lady’s, so that their heads touched as they looked soulfully, together, at the poor children. It was — there is no other phrase for it — cringe-making.
There must be a strange paradox when you live a life so consumed by images. You want to be in the picture because it is real and will impress people, but the people you are impressing are by definition people who are impressed by a picture. They are not — how to put it? — insightful, bright, sophisticated. Which means you’re spending all your time trying to impress people you think, in your heart, are dumb.
– Peggy Noonan, The Case Against Hillary Clinton
Bring in the Experts
[I met with] a woman who has known them for more than 20 years, a political professional who has been in the room and listened to Mrs. Clinton’s conversation and watched her strategize. She had been inclined to like Hillary — they share the same political views and the same passion for politics…I asked her to bring her point of view, but she surprised me by coming to our meeting with a book, a classic of the field of psychology called Borderline Conditions and Pathological Narcissism by Otto Kernberg, M.D.
“One of the interesting things [Kernberg] says is that people with this kind of disorder have a great need to be loved and admired by others, which is a curious contradiction between a very inflated concept of themselves and an inordinate need for tribute from others. On the surface, they have an overinflated view of themselves, but yet they can’t maintain that unless they get the adulation of an individual or, in her case and his case, a crowd — that is, the mirror that reflects back to them the grandiose view they have of themselves. So it’s a circle that has to keep going.”
She started to read from the book. “Another characteristic of these personalities is that…they have little enjoyment of life other than the tributes they recieve from others or from their own grandiose fantasies, and they feel restless and bored when external glitter wears off and no new sources feed their self-regard….”
– Peggy Noonan, The Case Against Hillary Clinton
Polar Bears — or the Clintons?
They seem to me trapped…looking for the admiration that they think will lead them home. Two summers ago I bumped into an intimate, lifelong friend of the Clintons, and what he told me has remained with me as I watch Mrs. Clinton mount her [senatorial] campaign. The friend was on a plane with the Clintons in 1997, as they returned from a vacation. On the way back to Washington they had to stop for a ceremonial appearance. The plane landed, the ramp of Air Force One was lowered, and suddenly the Clintons, who moments before had been slumped distractedly in their seats, came alive. Now they were smiling, laughing, waving to the crowd in the lights. Suddenly the Clintons were happy.
“They’re going to need a lot of therapy when this is over,” he said. “They’re gonna need help to get them off what they’re hooked on.”
What?” I asked. “The adulation,” he said.

The Light, the Light…I…Need…the Light
Ex-President Bill Clinton may be seeing a psychiatrist in an effort to adjust to private life, a report out of Chicago suggests…[S]ince leaving the White House, Clinton is having a difficult time coping with life out of the spotlight.

Try Fish. Polar Bears Love Fish.
All of this would be touching if their hunger, their human if outsized hunger, could be met in some private way. But it has to be met, each day, and fed by our country. Which makes their private plight our public problem.

And Send Bill with Him
“Knut must go and the sooner the better,” he [keeper Roebke] said, insisting that the bear should be sent to an animal park where he received less attention.
– UK Daily Mail, March 27, 2008
Mr Roebke is not the only observer to question Knut’s sanity. In January, a prominent animal conservationist branded him “an animal psychopath”.

The President’s Private Mental Condition is None of our Business!
[Clinton] is far more psychologically disturbed than the public ever imagined.
– Michael Isikoff, Dateline NBC, April 1999
Can Gov. Spitzer Recommend Someone?
I think that’s an understatement. The suggestion is that this guy is in terrible trouble mentally and psychologically and is a completely hollow narcissist and egomaniac. And he thinks that the best therapy for it is being President. My view is that presidential therapy hasn’t worked for him and shouldn’t have been tried. But he certainly does need professional help.
– Christopher Hitchens, WOR Radio, April 1999
Note: Just as the public didn’t know that JFK suffered from debilitating back pain the whole time he was president, so we didn’t know that Bill Clinton was insane the whole time he was president.

That’s how the Croatian magazine Globus translated what the founder of Soldier of Fortune magazine Robert K. Brown told them in a 1993 interview. In the Soldier of Fortune (SOF) article that followed up on the Croatian article that same year, writer Bob Jordan explained that the quote “wasn’t entirely accurate but was based on fact — sniper training was a key part of SOF’s training syllabus during our recent trip to Bosnia.”
These are the kinds of things that will come out in the just-begun trial of Croatian general and hero of the Croatian people Ante Gotovina — namely American involvement in Croatia’s ethnic cleansing of Serbs and American assistance to Croatia that enabled the cruel killings of Serb civilians in Croatia’s Medak Pocket. Americans will also learn that a Hague indictment for war crimes committed by Croatia’s wartime president Franjo Tudjman was being prepared, but Tudjman died (in 1999) before he could face justice. His death helped ensure that the popular account of events in the Balkan wars stayed in place.
Below is a recent article from the New York Times about the trial, written by the paper’s Hague correspondent. Just a note on this correspondent, Marlise Simons: According to Canadian former ambassador to Yugoslavia James Bissett, who testified at the Milosevic trial, Simons would sit in on the proceedings day in and day out, but would lift her pen only on those rare occasions when arguments were made which reinforced the backwards version of events that the West had sold itself on. Most of the time she just sat there without writing, given that the vast bulk of evidence didn’t serve popular mythology on the Balkans.
War Crimes Trial Begins for Croatian General Who Worked With Americans (March 12) By MARLISE SIMONS
PARIS — A popular Croatian general who led a brutal operation that drove the Serbs out of western Croatia near the end of the Balkans war went on trial in The Hague on Tuesday for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Gen. Ante Gotovina, working closely with American advisers, was the commander of a military campaign in the summer of 1995 that put an end to the Serbian occupation of Eastern Croatia and forced more than 150,000 Serbs to flee towns and villages where they had lived for generations. [Favorite line alert: Serbian occupation of towns and villages where they had lived for generations.]
The four-day operation, in the Krajina region, was a turning point in the war, celebrated by Croatia as the heroic recapturing of its homeland and mourned by Serbia as the single largest event of “ethnic cleansing” of the 1991-1995 wars that broke up Yugoslavia. [Note that “ethnic cleansing” appears in quotes if the subjects of the ethnic cleansing are Serbs.]
In his opening statement on Tuesday, the prosecutor, Alan Tieger, said more than 350 civilians were killed in August and September 1995, most of them not in the heat of the battle, but executed in revenge actions.
Lawyers familiar with the trial say it may also shed more light on the little-known covert American role during that decisive Croatian counteroffensive against Serbia.
United States military advisers, among them retired and active personnel, helped plan the operation, and Americans directed drone aircraft over the battle zone to gain real-time intelligence for Croatian forces, Croatian officials have said.
The United States is not implicated in any of the criminal charges related to the operation, but some of its intelligence methods and sources may be disclosed, lawyers at the court said…Washington has taken a keen interest in the trial, and American diplomats have visited the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague to discuss the case, a former senior prosecutor said.
For the Croatian audience there may have been unwelcome disclosures in the prosecutors’ lengthy accounts of atrocities. Croatia’s nationalist news media have widely reported on actions by Serbs, often suppressing news from trials that cast Croatians in a bad light.
Mr. Tieger, the prosecutor, detailed brutalities that he said were inflicted by the Croatian military and the police on Serbian villagers. He said they burned hundreds of homes, killed elderly people who could not leave, killed livestock and poisoned wells to make sure no Serb refugees returned. The operation left “a scarred wasteland of destroyed homes and villages,” he said.
Lawyers at the court have said the three generals were the only men to be held accountable for the atrocities because the main political decision-makers, President Franjo Tudjman and his inner circle, are dead.
After Mr. Tudjman’s death, Carla Del Ponte, the chief war crimes prosecutor at the time, said her office had been close to issuing an indictment in which Mr. Tudjman would be charged with heading a “joint criminal enterprise” that included expelling Serbs. On Tuesday, the prosecution quoted from Mr. Tudjman’s speeches in which he called Krajina Serbs “a cancer on the underbelly of Croatia.”…
An additional report from Voice of America:
…The United Nations War Crimes Tribunal has charged Gotovina and two other ex-generals - Ivan Cermak and Mladen Markac - with doing nothing while soldiers murdered at least 37 ethnic Serbs in Krajina. The troops also burned and plundered villages, and stabbed civilians who tried to escape. The court says some family members were forced to watch their relatives being killed. All three defendants have pleaded not guilty.
Croatia: Three generals on trial for war crimes
…Serbs, who accounted for 12 percent of Croatia’s four million people before the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia in 1991, rebelled against Croatia’s secession and proclaimed their own Republic of Serb Krajina.
Hundreds of thousands of Serbs were killed by the Croatian state in World War II and feared repetition of the crimes when Croatian nationalist president Franjo Tudjman, who led the country to secession, came to power.
Tieger said that Tudjman, who died in 1999, masterminded the Storm operation, not only to retake territories controlled by local Serbs, but to completely eliminate Serbs from the country.
The decision was taken at a meeting on 31 July 1995, when Tudjman allegedly told his generals that Serbs “should be dealt such a blow that they practically disappear,” Tieger said…”At one point he told the American ambassador that Serbs were ‘a cancer on the Croatian skin’,” the prosecutor said…
So what we have is the U.S. essentially assisting Croatians in completing the work they were enabled to do by Nazi Germany during WWII when Hitler declared an independent Ustasha-run Croatia — an Axis Power that went on to slaughter hundreds of thousands of Serbs, Jews, and other undesirables.
Herewith, an update on our pal Croatia, from our very own State Dept., which released the following critical report about the Nazi democracy:
US Slams Croatia over Discrimination
12 March 2008 Zagreb - The United States State Department has criticised Croatia over its treatment of ethnic minorities, women and homosexuals, local media reported Wednesday.
The criticism comes in the U.S. State Department’s annual report on the situation of human rights around the world.
The report said the overall situation regarding human rights in the country was good but warned that there still were problems in the judicial system, where ethnic Serb judges were not represented proportionally. The report suggests that Serb candidates for judges are either refused or they are not encouraged to apply by Croatian authorities.
“The Constitutional protection of all minorities is implemented but there is still open discrimination against Serbs and Roma,” Croatia’s Javno news portal quoted the report as saying.
The document also warns about the treatment of women and homosexuals. It said that there was an increase in domestic violence in which the victims are women. According to the report, Croatia is along a key human trafficking route and the final destination for trafficked women from Serbia, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they end up working as prostitutes.
The document also adds that homosexuals are subject to insults and are not accepted in society.
Croatia was also criticised for the slow return of property seized by the state from the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Jewish community.
Hello? Jewish community property seized? Gosh, I wonder what the criminal Serbs did to cause Croatia to “fight back” also against the Jewish community during the war.
Another report on the State Dept. report:
STATE DEPARTMENT REPORT: Croatia: Violence Against Minorities, Women, Gays
…Also, intimidating witnesses at domestic war crimes trials and the continuation of the practice of war crime trials in absentia are cited as special problems.
Croatia is also warned of the practice of the State Judicial Council of either refusing candidates or leaving positions vacant so as not to have to appoint Serbs as judges. “Out of 1,930 judges, only 2.2 percent, were ethnic Serbs, while 1.8 percent were from other minorities”, says the report.
“Restitution of communal property remained a problem for all major religious groups except the Islamic Community. The government has not returned any property to the Serbian Orthodox community, the second largest claimant of property in the country. The government also has not returned Jewish properties, including some buildings in Zagreb, although it did return one property in Osijek – says the report.
Ah, the old Nazi-Muslim mutual affinity, still going strong in Croatia. (Though more likely it’s simply that Nazis are as scared of Muslim discontent as anyone else.)
With regards to media freedom, the report estimates that the media remain under the influence of the authorities and especially local media are vulnerable to political pressure because 70 percent of them are owned by local authorities.
While constitutional protections against discrimination applied to all minorities, open discrimination and harassment continued against ethnic Serbs and Roma – the State Department said in its report.
It cited data by the Serb Democratic Forum, as well as examples of the most serious ethnically motivated incidents in 2007, including the attack on Serb returnees in July, a father and son, in Gornji Vrhovci near Pakrac. The report also cites the SDF’s commendation to the Croatian police for quickly finding the culprits for vandalising Serb houses in Cerjani Donji and Pristeg in October.
That’s right — when the EU is watching, Croatian police move quickly on ethnically motivated crime.
The State Department also pointed to the problem of vandal attacks on Serb property and intolerance towards Serb returnees, especially in the Zadar area.
With regards to violence against women, the State Department cites the number of rapes, processes and punishments and stresses that, according to UNDP data from 2006, Croatia marked an increase of domestic violence.
So Croatians have even more in common with Muslims than they think! Including this:
The report cites the example of attacks on the Gay Pride parade in Zagreb in July 2007 as an example of discrimination towards homosexuals, as well as “insults, stereotypical jokes and societal prejudices”.
In the chapter on human trafficking the report states that Croatia was still a transit point, but also increasingly a destination for prostitution for girls from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Such is the country that Dick Cheney and George W. Bush each individually advocated putting on the fast-track to EU membership, slated for an already fast-tracked 2010. And such is the country that the watchdog group OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) saw fit to leave to its own devices, packing up its mission there in December and “leaving only an office to monitor trials of war crime suspects…[and] monitor the return of Croatian Serb refugees.”
Because apparently the roster of issues above is an improvement:
The organization decided to close the mission, which was opened in Zagreb in 1996, after it saw strengthening of Croatia’s institutions, election reforms, the Constitutional Court, improvements in protection of human and national minority rights, and integration of refugees who returned home.
“Wave of hatred” spreading against Serbs in Croatia
Belgrade, 10 August: A wave of hatred and violence against Serb returnees has been intensified in Croatia this year, and graffiti saying “Hang Serbs on willow trees” appeared in the village of Islam Grcki near Benkovac, the director of Veritas Documentation Centre [Serb refugee NGO], Savo Strbac, warned today.
“Croatia, despite declarative statements by its highest officials in reality is still systematically preventing an organized return of exiled Serbs, and a wave of hatred against the Serbs is once again spreading. Graffiti with threatening content keep appearing,” Strbac said in a statement for International Radio Serbia.
He noted that Croatian state media, “using a recognizable vocabulary from early 1990s, is spreading hatred towards everything Serb,” Serb property which is restored at a slow pace is once again destroyed and torched, Christian Orthodox sites are also attacked, including holy places and clergy, and “urban Orthodox Serbs are being further Catholicized”.
Strbac assessed all this as a form of psychological pressure to stop the return of the Serbs to Croatia from the start.
“Croatian officials state the figure of 120,000 Serb returnees to Croatia which does not at all correspond to the truth,” he noted, specifying that recent research financed by UNHCR showed that it was about 52,000 persons — mainly elderly people of whom 13,000 had already died.
Among those returnees are also 7,000 so-called walkers, who have still not made up their mind whether they would return to Croatia, Strbac said.
To close, here are just three recent drops in the bucket of the kinds of characteristic comments you’ll find in America’s and Europe’s pal Croatia:
A black man can’t coach Croatia’s national team. I don’t remember any black manager of a major team.
– Vlatko Markovic, president of Croatian national football organization
All our boys want to be (as basketball stars) Toni Kukoc or Dino Radja, but I haven’t heard of any wanting to to be black.
– Croatian Member of International Olympic Board Antun Vrdoljak
[Socialist Democratic Party leader] Tonino Picula…walked off a [Croatian National TV] show titled “Election 2007″ in protest over an inappropriate comment by Josip Miljko, leader of the Croatian Pure Party of Law. In a reply to the host’s question whether [Croatian oil company] INA should pay reparations to citizens of Sisak for air pollution, Miljak said that the Croatian Government sold INA to the Hungarian company MOL, adding that “INA’s profit goes to Hungary, to MOL, to Jewish capital — and the pollution stays with us.”

Human Rights Commissions’ challenger has unlikely allies
A neo-Nazi is taking on Canada’s quasi-judicial “Human Rights Commissions,” which are increasingly used by Muslims to silence free speech. Marc Lemire, of the now defunct neo-Nazi Heritage Front, has found support from a leader of B’nai Brith Canada and author Mark Steyn, who likewise had to go before a Human Rights Commission because his book said the rising demographic tide of Muslims in Europe threatens to undermine liberal democracy.
Then there’s this from June:
Jews, Neo-Nazis protest huge mosque in Germany
Who knew? Islam — a uniter, not a divider!

“I don’t think Venus or Serena was ever accepted by tennis”
While his daughters were playing earlier this month in Bangladore, India, where Venus reached the quarterfinals and Serena won the title, [father Richard] Williams told the Deccan Herald, “Well, I’m black and I’m prejudiced, very prejudiced. People are prejudiced in tennis. I don’t think Venus or Serena was ever accepted by tennis. They never will be.”
He said the media treated his daughters unfairly, that it was “the worst media job that they have done on any human being in the world,” and that if he were Serena and Venus, he would have quit playing.
“But if you get some little white no-good trasher in America like Tracy Austin or Chris Evert, who cannot hit the ball, they (the media) will claim this is great,” he said.
Now, I never even followed tennis, yet all I remember hearing is “Venus…Venus…Serena..Serena…Venus…Serena…” In fact, the only names I can presently recall in tennis are Andre Agassi, John McEnroe, and Venus and Serena Williams — and the retired lesbian from Czechoslovakia. Even the blond Russian names escape memory, which means they’re not as ingrained.
As Richard Williams himself admits, he is just projecting. After all, the media loves when minorities beat white people in anything.

One report from two sources on an Iranian foundation buying Albania. No one is reporting on this, so they themselves report on their activities and the progress their tentacles are making in Albania society:
Albanian Sadi Foundation establishes library in Vlora
TEHRAN — The Sadi Cultural Foundation in Albania has established a library in the tekyeh (place where ritual Shia Islamic ceremonies are practiced) of the city of Vlora and has presented it with a collection of cultural and religious books.
The Ahl-ul-Bait World Assembly also took part in the setting up of the library in the tekyeh which is one of the largest and most distinctive buildings of its type in Albania.
Head of the foundation Reza Karami said that the donation comprises hundreds of cultural and religious books, and a number of computers which were presented to the library in the presence of the head of the Tekyeh of the Bektashi Order in Albania, Baba Sadik Ibro.
He added that the foundation has previously established libraries in tekyehs located in Kosovo and Macedonia with the assistance of the Bektashi Order and is planning to set up more in the future.
Baba Sadik Ibro, who also participated in the book donation ceremony, expressed his appreciation and remarked that equipping libraries with cultural and religious books meets one of society’s greatest needs and is especially useful for young people.
Albanians always balk when people bring up these connections, insisting that such elements represent a tiny, negligible presence in Albanian society. At the same time, Albanians aren’t doing a thing to resist the ever growing and deepening infiltration of their society by the likes of Iran, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Then again, neither are we.

A recent gem from the Lock And Load blog:
Every concession to Islam is like giving in to a boa constrictor. Every time the prey relaxes and tries to take a breath, the constrictor tightens up just a little more. Eventually, the prey can no longer breath and is swallowed headfirst. The best defense against such a predator is to cut off its head before it can strike. Caging it is dangerous as it can wait for as long as it takes for a chance to escape and kill its keeper. Islam, like the boa is primitive and unthinking, knowing only to strike when it sees a weakness.
