Kosovo blast injures five
Pristina, Jan. 14

Five officials of the Kosovo’s Labour and Welfare Ministry were injured when a blast hit their vehicle, Kosovo’s Police Service announced.

According to the same source, the blast occurred in the center of Suva Reka, when the Ministry’s car containing five passengers was blown up by a hand grenade strapped underneath it.

Beside the driver, four welfare advisors were traveling in the vehicle. The motives for the incident are unknown, and police investigations are still going on.

Last week, PM Hashim Thaci’s Government appointed a representative of the Serb minority Nenad Rasic as a Minister of Labour and Social Welfare.
