Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel on Monday recommended European leaders to avoid following the US arrogant policy blindly.

Haddad-Adel made the remark in a meeting with Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Senahid Bristric here where he said the US opposes the fundamentals of the Islamic Revolution of Iran as well as any other movement seeking to [enhance] the political identity of Muslims worldwide.

The speaker also described Iran-Bosnia ties as satisfactory and friendly, saying that the Iranian nation abides by its commitments to the people of the European country both in peace and war times.

Iranian political officials are determined to expand mutual relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina, he said, noting that Iran expects the would-be member state of the European Union (EU) to help acquaint western nations with the Islamic culture.

Bristric, for his part, expressed pleasure with the friendly relations between the two countries, saying that Bosnians are familiar with Iranian rich culture and civilization and that they will never forget the Iranian people’s sympathy [and weapons shipments!] with them during hard war time.

He also said that his country will join the European Union in the near future, adding that Bosnian Muslims, who are in the majority in the European country, have always been worried about decisions taken by EU against Iranians.

The ambassador expressed hope that his country will be able to support Iran’s rights, he added. He further noted that fostering relations between Iran and Bosnia will benefit his nation, calling for promotion of cooperation in different political, economic and cultural fields.
