Serb prisoners ‘were stripped of their organs in Kosovo war’

A senior adviser to Hashim Thaci, Kosovo’s prime minister and a leading member of the Kosovo Liberation Army which is accused of benefiting from the trade, yesterday denied the allegations.

What a surprise!

“These are horrible things even to imagine,” said Bekim Collaku. “But this is a product of her [Miss Del Ponte’s] imagination.”

Map to navigating the Balkans: Serbian war criminals whom Miss Del Ponte investigates did everything they stand accused of, real or imagined, but the crimes of Albanian war criminals investigated by the same Miss Del Ponte are “imagined.” That explains why the Albanian criminals are set free while Serbian ones are sentenced to 20+ years or discovered dead in their cells.

Miss Del Ponte reports that the allegations were made by several sources, one of whom “personally made an organ delivery” to an Albanian airport for transport abroad, and “confirmed information directly gathered by the tribunal”.

According to the sources, senior figures in the Kosovo Liberation Army were aware of the scheme, in which hundreds of young Serbs were allegedly taken by truck from Kosovo to northern Albania where their organs were removed. Miss Del Ponte provides grim details of the alleged organ harvesting, and of how some prisoners were sewn up after having kidneys removed.

“The victims, deprived of a kidney, were then locked up again, inside the barracks, until the moment they were killed for other vital organs. In this way, the other prisoners were aware of the fate that awaited them, and according to the source, pleaded, terrified, to be killed immediately,” Miss Del Ponte writes.

…[I]t is her report of the organ traffic that has caused most shock, even in a region long hardened to horror.

That’s because what Croatians, Albanians and Bosnians do to Serbs is so creative that even all the world’s journalists brainstorming with Albanians, Croatians and Bosnians couldn’t think up something like this to attribute to Serbs. And so all the imagined crimes of the Serbs pale in comparison to the reality of what was done to Serbs (except for the stuff that Albanians, Croats and Bosniaks actually did to Serbs and later testified was done by Serbs).

…The book has also prompted concern in Switzerland, where it has been criticised for tarnishing the country’s celebrated neutrality, particularly as Miss Del Ponte has been named as the Swiss ambassador to Argentina.

I’m giving up comedy; my material doesn’t compare to this. Shysterland’s neutrality is compromised when crimes against Serbs are finally reported instead of only crimes against Albanians, Bosnians and Croats! Whereas winning the race to be among the first 10 countries to recognize Kosovo’s self-declared, non-negotiated, and majority-of-the-world-unrecognized independence was a “neutral” position!

In Belgrade, Natasha Kandic, the highly respected head of the investigative Humanitarian Law Centre, said ordinary Serbs “welcome the publication of this book” but said allegations of organ-smuggling were “rumours”. “I talked to her many times, she never told me about this,” said Miss Kandic.

Hm, that name sure does ring a bell. Natasha Kandic, Natasha Kandic, Nata–OH YES! I remember who that is. It’s the Serbian Judas, a Euro-Atlantic wannabe and tool of the Hague Tribunal who signed on to help hunt down almost exclusively Serbs accused of war crimes. In July 2005, when the case against Slobodan Milosevic was so deep in the toilet that an acquittal on most counts was looming, suddenly — in time for the emotional 10-year anniversary of the Srebrenica “massacre” — a tape materialized in the hands of every major network and newspaper on the planet, showing Serbian paramilitaries executing six Bosnian fighters — 170 kilometers from Srebrenica, but nonethless referred to as “Srebrenica” — prompting me to write this article. Kandic was the source of that tape. That’s why she is “highly respected” and why crimes against Serbs can only be “rumours” while rumors against Serbs can only be real crimes.
