KFOR Commander Gen. Cater: Increased anxiety in Kosovo

“The situation is peaceful, almost stable…on the other side, one has to ask oneself whether the peace is only on the surface. That is why we are here,” KFOR Commander Gen. Cater said in an interview with Germany’s daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

Gen. Cater did not agree with German journalist’s evaluation that violence seems to be an everyday event in Kosovo…Cater said that it is true that a lot of money in Kosovo comes from organized crime, and when asked about the corruption of the Kosovo justice and police to the highest level, he replied that he did not “have any information on that.”
